Basic cheesie

Ingredients

  • 6 bread rolls
  • 3 cups (340g) reduced fat cheese, grated

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Cut rolls in half, place on oven tray cut-side up>
  3. Top each half with 25g grated cheese
  4. Cook in oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.

Cheesie variations:

Chicken cheesie

Ingredients

  • Bread and cheese as above
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 60g Reduced fat mayonnaise
  • 60g Barbeque sauce

Method

  1. Steps 1 and 2 as above
  2. Place chicken, mayonnaise and barbeque sauce in a bowl and mix to combine
  3. Top each half roll with 1/4 cup of chicken mix, top with 25g grated cheese
  4. Cook in oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.

Vegemite cheesie

Ingredients

  • Bread and cheese as above
  • 3 teaspoons vegemite

Method

  1. Steps 1 and 2 as above
  2. Spread each roll half with 1/2 teaspoon of vegemite, top with cheese
  3. Cook in oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.
