Basic cheesie
Ingredients
- 6 bread rolls
- 3 cups (340g) reduced fat cheese, grated
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees
- Cut rolls in half, place on oven tray cut-side up>
- Top each half with 25g grated cheese
- Cook in oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.
Cheesie variations:
Chicken cheesie
Ingredients
- Bread and cheese as above
- 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
- 60g Reduced fat mayonnaise
- 60g Barbeque sauce
Method
- Steps 1 and 2 as above
- Place chicken, mayonnaise and barbeque sauce in a bowl and mix to combine
- Top each half roll with 1/4 cup of chicken mix, top with 25g grated cheese
- Cook in oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.
Vegemite cheesie
Ingredients
- Bread and cheese as above
- 3 teaspoons vegemite
Method
- Steps 1 and 2 as above
- Spread each roll half with 1/2 teaspoon of vegemite, top with cheese
- Cook in oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.
