Ingredients
- 4 wheat biscuits (e.g. Weet-Bix, Vita Brits)
- ⅔ cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup wholemeal plain flour
- 100g brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- ⅔ cup dried apricots
- 3 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
- ¼ cup boiling water
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C
- Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl
- Place margarine and golden syrup in a small saucepan and heat gently until melted
- Mix bicarb and water together and pour into margarine mixture
- Add to dry ingredients and stir until combined
- Place tablespoons of mixture onto a oven tray lined with greaseproof paper
- Bake for 15- 20 minutes, leave to cool completely on tray
