Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white self raising flour
  • 2 cups wholemeal self raising flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups hilo milk
  • Olive oil spray

To Serve

  • Berry coulis (see recipe on WASCA website)  or fresh berries
  • Reduced fat vanilla yoghurt
  • Fresh berries

Method

  1. Sift flours into a large bowl, add sugar
  2. Combine eggs and milk in a large jug, add to flour and sugar, mix till a smooth batter
  3. Heat non stick waffle iron
  4. When ready, drop ½ cup of batter into each mould, spread out evenly
  5. Cook until brown, keep warm
  6. Serve with reduced fat vanilla yogurt, berry coulis (see recipe on website) and fresh berries
