Marcelle Coakley

Board Member

Marcelle is the Community Engagement Advisor at the Shire of Derby West Kimberley, where she leads programs that support flood recovery and strengthen food security. She also sits on ECU’s Food Community Advisory Panel, providing a regional perspective.

Marcelle discovered her passion for food security while working with the Pilbara Health Network, where she managed the local school canteen, established a school kitchen garden, and helped create a community garden that went on to win multiple awards. Marcelle has received the Pride of Australia Medal for Community Spirit and is a passionate advocate for improving the lives of children and adults everywhere.
